Companies Demand Permit Money from the State


The power company ČEZ has asked the financial office to return the 5.3 billion crowns the company paid in 2011 and 2012 as emission permit-based gift taxes.

Energy traders will be able to be more flexible


European energetic markets have agreed upon establishing a new system of cross-border spot deals, which could improve the ability to take sudden fluctuations into account in the department of renewable sources production. This means that deals could still be made on the take-off day, instead of a day in advance as currently established on the European spot markets. It has not yet been announced when this measure is going to be applied, but it should probably happen during the next few months.
